Barbara Remington’s mother was one of Divine Mercy Home’s first clients. After her parents moved to Virginia from Florida for Barbara to care for them, she started the St. Anne & Joachim senior group at St. Andrew’s to create friendships for her parents, and to provide education about aging in place, as well as having inspirational speakers and fun entertainment.
As a graduate of Miami University, with a BS in Applied Science, Barbara switched careers from systems analysis to technical sales. Later, while raising her six children, she volunteered by teaching English and math at Catholic Charities, fundraising for Seton School and Divine Mercy Care, working as a medical assistant for Tepeyac OB/GYN, leading pilgrimages to the Holy Land, and being a photographer for the Tim Tebow Night to Shine.
Because of her love for the unborn, she began working for Divine Mercy Care, raising awareness and funds as their communications manager. Believing in the sanctity of life at the moment of conception to natural death, she looks forward to promoting the elderly, like she has with the unborn.
